Puppy Class
Start your pup off right in group class with socialization, confidence-building, and essential life skills. We cover house training, play skills, handling, enrichment, and a few important cues to help your puppy grow into a well-mannered companion.
Foundations for a Well-Behaved Adolescent Dog
This class is designed for young teen dogs between 8 and 18 months old and focuses on core manners such as sit, down, stay, come when called, leash walking, and polite greetings. We’ll also incorporate some supervised play, so your dog must already have experience playing appropriately with other dogs in a daycare or puppy class setting.
If your dog hasn’t had this type of group play experience, please email or text us first—we can help you decide whether this class is the right fit or if our Basic Manners class would be a better starting point.

Reviews about Dog Training Class
We took our Maltipoo to puppy kindergarten class. We loved the class and have learned SO much on how to train our dog. She is doing so well! Elizabeth is so knowledgeable and a wonderful teacher. Would highly recommend.

Elizabeth is extremely good at finding effective approaches to dogs with very different personal traits, and can clearly communicate to owners what is the best way forward.
Andrea M
Elizabeth was professional and understanding and taught me as much as she taught Hank. It was a great class. He is doing so much better. Highly recommend.
Alma
Elizabeth is by far the best dog trainer I’ve ever worked with! She really understands dog behavior and knows how to communicate it too.

What to bring to class
- Your dog’s meal in a baggie
- A separate baggie of treats your dog absolutely loves!
- A treat pouch
- Teen class only: A long-lasting chew, lick mat, or frozen Kong
Please leave at home
- Training collars (chain, prong, electric or other)
- Retractable leashes
- Poop bag holders attached to leashes
Helpful Tip:
On the morning of class, consider skipping your dog’s breakfast or feeding them only half of their usual portion. A hungry dog is often more motivated during training!
How it all started
From the archives, this is one of our first CGC classes. We graduated three dogs, two of whom went on to actively participate in therapy dog work. Over the years, we get updates and pictures, and we couldn’t be prouder!
