Get ready to unleash the potential of your dog! We’re thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of our Group Training Classes at the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado. Each class is limited to six dogs for a lot of personal attention.
Whether your pooch is a playful pup or a seasoned companion, our expert trainers will to help them become the best four-legged friends they can be!
Anti-Jump Class
$150 for three lessons
3 Lesson Class
Sunday Afternoons 2:00 PM
Class covers theses skills:
- sit-stay or down stay
- anti-jump techniques
Puppy Class
under 6 months at the start of class
9:00 AM Sundays
Class covers theses skills:
- appropriate puppy play
- sit in front and sit at side
- give, take, exchange a toy
- leave it (level 1)
- loose leash walking (level 1)
- wait to be fed
- coming when called (level 1)
- handling (feet, ears, mouth, etc)
- go to place
Beginner Dogs
Sundays 10:00 AM
Class covers these skills:
- car manners
- gate & door manners
- leave it (level 2)
- loose leash walking and greeting a person
- wait to be fed (level 2)
- coming when called (level 2)
- emergency stop
- handling (feet, ears, mouth, etc)
- stay or settle
- being alone
Intermediate Dogs
Sundays 11:00 AM
Prerequisites
Prerequisite knowledge requirements include basic obedience commands in an easy setting for your dog, like your living room (minimal to no distractions.) We’d like for your dog to know most of these.
Class will cover the following skills:
- gate & door manners (level 3 with distractions)
- leave it (level 3 with distractions)
- loose leash walking amid distractions
- wait to be fed (level 3)
- come when called (level 3)
- emergency stop (level 3)
- handling (feet, ears, mouth, etc)
- stay or settle (level 3 amid distractions)
- being alone
Advanced Dogs
Sundays 1:00 PM
Prerequisites
Prerequisite knowledge requirements include most basic obedience commands in a moderate setting for your dog, like a minimally busy cafe or your home when there are friendly guests who are known to your dog.
Class covers these skills:
- gate & door manners (level 4 high distractions)
- loose leash walking with high distractions
- recall past a crowd (level 4)
- emergency stop with high distractions (level 4)
- special topics as requested
Champion
Level 5
Prerequisites knowledge requirements include basic obedience commands in a busy setting for your dog, like a busy cafe or your home when there are new guests who are unknown to your dog.
- door / gate manners. Will sit and wait to be released before exiting amid distractions
- will ignore a toy (or other object) on a walk, if the toy is on the path
- while on leash, will sit politely near a friendly stranger or will peacefully co-exist next to a friendly dog.
- can wait to be released to eat at their food bowl amid distractions
- can come when called from 50 feet, amid distractions
- is okay with being touched on ears, feet, and body by a friendly stranger
Class will cover the following skills:
- gate & door manners (level 4 high distractions)
- loose leash walking with high distractions
- recall past a crowd (level 4)
- emergency stop with high distractions (level 4)
- special topics as requested
