Crisis Consultation

When you’re facing an urgent or difficult situation with your dog, it can be overwhelming. Whether your dog has bitten someone, you’re considering rehoming, or you’re dealing with another high-stakes emergency, we’re here to help. Our Crisis Consultations provide expert, compassionate advice to help you make the best decisions for your dog and your family.

Expanded Availability—Help When You Need It

We’ve added more time slots and shortened our lead times, so you can access our lead trainer, Elizabeth, sooner. We know emergencies don’t wait, and neither should you.

What Is a Crisis Consultation?

This one-hour session is designed to provide actionable advice and clear recommendations for navigating critical situations, including:

  • Steps to take if your dog has bitten someone.
  • Knowing when to consult your veterinarian about behavior medications.
  • Assessing and managing the level of risk involved.
  • Keeping children safer around your dog.
  • Strategies to reduce conflict between dogs in the household.
  • Choosing and fitting the best muzzle for your dog.
  • Understanding what to expect when dealing with potentially dangerous dog situations or legal requirements.

We provide a calm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space to help you make informed decisions.

How It Works

  • Prepare in Advance: Send a detailed write-up of your situation to our lead trainer, Elizabeth, before your consultation. She will review your case ahead of time and prepare tailored recommendations.
  • Personalized Session: During your one-hour consultation, you’ll discuss your situation in detail. You can even give a virtual tour of your home to decide together where to place safety measures like baby gates, crates, or barriers.
  • Ongoing Resources: Receive recommendations for blogs, videos, and other tools to help you succeed.

Support You Can Count On

Our guidance includes:

  • Enrichment ideas to help your dog relax.
  • Safety strategies to minimize risk for your family and pets.
  • Understanding the steps to take with dangerous dog situations, including legal considerations.
  • Honest and compassionate discussions about management, rehoming, or behavioral euthanasia when necessary.

No Judgment, Just Support

Every decision you face is deeply personal, and we respect that. Our goal is to offer understanding, clarity, and actionable steps to help you move forward confidently—whatever path you choose.
